ミスチル、ギター選ばず!?
弘法、筆を選ばす、なんて諺がありますよね。それのミスチルバージョンです。
どっかで聞いた覚えがあるって方もいらっしゃるのでは？そう、これはFCの会報16号（96/8発行）の、深海発売に伴うインタビュー記事にあったものなのです。
実は、このインタビューのお陰で、ToolBoxは非常に助かってるんです。インタビュアーの川村恭子さんに感謝！てことで本題へ…。
この話はJenさんの、「Mr.Childrenの場合は、二人のギタリストのギターの所在がどちらのものか判らなかったりします。」という、一言から発展していきます。今のところ、ChetAtkinsCountryGentlemanは桜井さんと田原さんのコーナーを見て頂ければわかると思いますが、二人共使っていてどっちの物かわからないですね。最初は桜井さんのだったようですが。
さて、このギターを見てください。たぶん、ほとんどの方が田原さんのだと思ってますよね？田原さんはいかにも自分のもんって顔して弾いてますし。そこで会報での話を引用…。
桜井 楽器の担当のスタッフに「次のレコーディングでギター何持っていきます？」って言われて、「ストラト」っていうと「えっ？ストラト？」って。「うん、白のヤツ」「あれ田原さんのですよね？」「えっ!?いや、あれオレの。貸してるんだけど…。」…ってことで、実は桜井さんのらしい（笑）実際、93年頃のライヴとか、AAA’95なんかで、桜井さんが弾いてる姿が見れます。
ここで興味深い話がひとつ。このストラトはSeymour Duncan製なんですが、このメーカーのギターを製造してるのはESPなんです。わかりますか？#002のversusのとこを見て下さい。ねっ（笑）!?前述のライヴって、93年ですよ。…ってことで、このストラトは桜井モデル説浮上（笑）ただ、桜井モデルなら楽器担当スタッフは、流石に桜井さんのだと判ると思うんですよね。だから、それはないかな…（どっちやねん/爆）
さて、冒頭で川村恭子さんに感謝してたのですが、そのワケを書いておきます。まず、#001で触れたことですが、D-28について。それから、Firebirdが実はJenさんの物である事。普段の雑誌にはあまりなかった、楽器についての話を沢山してくれたんですね。ホントにありがたいです。
またこんなインタビューしてくれないかなぁ、なんて思うのですが。因みにJenさんは、この時点でギターを8本持っていて、トータルの金額でいったら、桜井さんの3倍くらいらしいです。今はどうなってるんだろう…。っていうか、タイトルは本文とあまり関係なかったような気がしなくもないですね。。。桜井さんが「ボクは楽器はなんでもいい…」って言ってるんですよ。だから…。
