やっぱり謎の多いD-28
アコースティック・マガジンに桜井さんが登場した事で、一応謎が解けたはずだったD-28。
しかし！まだ謎は残されていたのです（笑）
アコースティック・マガジンには、カスタムオーダーのD-28は2000年の9月に完成したと書いてあります。しかし、これには疑問が…。なぜなら、このギターは、8/12O.A.のCDTVで既に登場しているのである。
当時はこのギターの正体がわかっていないものの、#001でも触れているように、「どうも、今までのとは違うらしい。」という事はわかっていた。でも、これは思い違いだったのだろうか？と思い、再度ビデオを見返してみました。…やはり、ボディーの色からして、カスタムオーダーの方という事で間違いはない。

しかし、ある事に気付いたのである。コチラを見てください。
左はアコースティック・マガジンに載っていた写真で、右は8/18のMステの画像です。
違いがわかるでしょうか？ピックガードの形が違うのです。これも#001で触れた事なのですが、D-28 #S1とD-28 #S2の見分け方は、色以外にもピックガードの形の違いがあります。
しかし、このMステの画像だと、その違いがないのです。ということは、このギターはD-28 #S2とは別物なのか？…なんて事はたぶんないと思います（爆）
ピックガードの形違いで、更に1本オーダーとは考えにくいですし。そう考えると、このTV出演の後にピックガードを張り替えたという事でしょうか。そして、その張り替えが終わったのが9月。これで一応辻褄が合いますね。
でも、張り替えぐらいなら、8月完成としてもいいと思うんですよね。だから、もしかしたらシークレットとされているピックアップ・システムがツアーのリハで調整を重ねられ、決定したのが9月なのかもしれません。その際に、ピックガードも張り替えられたと。こう考えた方が自然かもしれませんね。
